Bilateral Sound
This video presentation defines bilateral sound and explains how SHARM uses this sound effect. Headphones are needed to hear the stereophonic effect in the included audio clips.
What is Bilateral Sound?
Bilateral sound is a sound that moves between the left ear and the right ear.
Moving a sound from side to side stimulates the two brain hemispheres separately, as each brain hemisphere is linked to the opposite ear.
Benefits
Bilateral sound enhances focus and concentration, increases relaxation and helps the brain hemispheres to function harmoniously together.
Hypnotherapists can add bilateral sound to their EMDR hypnotherapy sessions.
Cycles per Minute [CPM]
The rate at which the sound moves from side to side is called the panning rate.
The panning rate of the bilateral sound is measured by Cycles per Minute, or CPM.
Global Panning Rate
The global bilateral panning rate ensures perfect synchronization between different bilateral sounds.
Bilateral Properties for Each Sound
A sound can have different bilateral properties, such as bilateral strength, bilateral delay and inverse direction.
Bilateral Sound and Brainwave Entrainment
To create advanced psycho-acoustic sessions, you can mix bilateral sound with brainwave entrainment.
Bilateral Suggestions and Scripts
You can add the bilateral effect to suggestions or recorded scripts.
Crossover Bilateral Dual Induction
You can also create bilateral crossover dual induction.
